Youth for Equality – Twelve Causes behind the protest
1. As the political career of Mr. Arjun Sing is highly controversial due to his activities in 1992. His motive behind implementing this Act is highly questionable.
2. Verdicts given by Indian National Congress cannot be considered neutral as the policies of INC about reservation have changed with season.
3. While four out of eight in the Congress are upper-class politician how can we consider that the main aim of the Govt. is to increase the socio-economic conditions of the poorer class.
4. Our article shows that even after many years of implementation of Reservation act in certain sectors there is no such improvement of SC’s , ST’s and OBC’s.
5. Reservation act has created a so called creamy layers of Dalits while it has even overlooked many subclasses and other deprived categories.
6. Historical events (indicated in our article) clearly proves that whenever Quota has been implemented it has been done with a political motive. So there is no reason to think this Reservation Act is an exception.
7. There is already 20% OBC students who are admitted without quota in I.I.T’s, I.I.M’s and 20 central interviews so what is the point in implementing as much as 27% reservation for them.
8. How can a person get admitted in higher educational institution when he/she has received poor level of primary education and secondary education?
9. With so many vacant Reserved seats in both educational institutes and service sectors there is no point incrementing the number of reserve seats.
10. If reservation can be done in the upper caste on basis of economic conditions (which the Govt. is planning to do) why this same formula cannot be extended for everybody.
11. This reservation act will provide the Govt. with a chance to wash of their hands in terms of developing the primary and secondary level of education.
12. This is a politically motivated move.
………… And we need 2 oppose it from all corners.
